Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 7568 Greenville Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I previously wrote a review about how the storage unit I purchased was supposed to be outside and drive up and how I was given a different unit. I wrote about how difficult the experience was. I then received a call from their manager stating they would reverse the charges if I took down the review. They admitted I didn't owe the amounts, but didn't like the public to know what happened. I refused and instead initiated a credit card dispute. Of course, the credit card company ruled in my favor. Today, I received a call from a debt collector that this company sent me to collections! For amounts they admit they weren't owed! For a unit they never provided! Run! Fast! As fast as you can from this storage company!! ... Read more

Probably the worst experience I've had with a storage facility. Signed a lease for one climate control unit and the day of my move in I found out three things. Firstly, the app was very glitchy to open the gate and elevator door, we had to input our code every single time we tried to open the elevator. Mind you, there are no carts available for usage so we are having to hand carry everything inside. Secondly, it is incredibly hot inside the facility, it literally felt cooler outside. Either the AC is not on or they are lying about it being a climate controlled unit. Thirdly, as soon as we opened the unit we rented, we found rodent droppings in almost all corners of the space. Obviously, I was not about to leave my belongings at this place so I called the 1800 number (as it was Sunday and no one was answering the office phone) to cancel my lease and they said they did but that was in September and I just got charged another month of rent for October. I am still waiting on my refund for the second month of rent they charged me. I strongly do not recommend this facility. ... Read more

I rented this unit because I needed an outside drive up unit. The unit I rented says it's outside and drive up, but it's actually located inside through many doors. No outside access. No drive up access. I went to the location to discuss, but they only have a kiosk that provides remote service. I called the property manager multiple times without a response. The kiosk provided only an option to transfer to a more expensive unit without a refund for the payments I made for the unit they wrongly gave me. This has been a total disaster and substantially delayed my move. The misrepresentations followed by the attempt to upsell me, while refusing to take my calls, should be a warning to everyone. ... Public storage is just that. A place where the public can pay to store their stuff that doesn't fit at their home, workplace or apartment. They usually run a move in special which helps because now insurance is required to rent, and the cost adds up. This chain of storage units is pretty good, I've never had any major issues. The only negative is that they hike the rental charge up pretty frequent so if you're storing long term, it gets to be a bit expensive. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 7568 Greenville Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
