Read some helpful reviews of Go Store It at 2500 Lone Star Drive, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

All of my storage bins and moving supplies were stolen from my unit, yet everything else was left untouched. My lock showed no signs of damage, so it seems someone picked it. Until management addresses the ongoing security issues, I would not recommend storing anything here. The loading doors are often broken, making it easy for anyone to enter, and one of the elevators doesn’t require an access code, allowing unauthorized individuals to move freely throughout the facility. ... I had a terrible experience with this storage facility. My unit was broken into, and over $5,000 worth of my belongings were stolen including electronics, work equipment, and other valuable items. I was notified by email on Monday, October 13, about the break-in, and when I arrived, I found my unit tampered with and some random items left behind that weren’t mine. What’s worse is that there was no staff available in the front office to help or provide any immediate assistance. This place clearly lacks proper security and management. I strongly do not recommend anyone storing their belongings here it’s not safe and the customer service is very poor. ... Read more

Move storage from Plano to Dallas, found this online deal after searching storage facilities in the area. 2 Months Free and $77 per month after. After the first full month payment at $77; get an email that my rental rate goes up to $99 per month. So know that this rate is a gotcha rate, to get you into the facility. And of course their reasoning is, just with any other rental property, is due to "upkeep, maintenance, and location" of the facility. We all know, that maintenance and upkeep for a rental storage facility is not going to be increasing every 6-12 months to justify rental rates to increase, and this area of Dallas is all warehouse manufacturing, so there have been no property increases. So understand the terms with you rent, its not what it is advertised to be. They "got me" and I just don't want to keep moving my storage from place to place. ... Read more

Everything was quick. Everything was easy. I got my confirmation over email. I got my code over email and instructions on how to get into my unit. The facility is nice and clean. They even have carts to take all of your stuff up-and-down. The elevators, are great! Very nice facility. Very well cleaned. Can't wait until I can recommend to all of my friends! And the best part is I didn't even have to pay for a lock and i'm paying less than 10 bucks for a storage unit! ... Read more

Nobody ever answers the phone, THERE IS NO ONE IN THE FRONT OFFICE EVER, I can’t access my unit to move out and on top of that my shoes have been stolen! DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION! Idk if they’re all like this but this is the WORST EXPERIENCE I’ve ever had! ... Read more

Tried to tour a unit today. Right off the bat it was a no from me. No front desk, no real people to speak to. We stood and started at a screen for about seven or so minutes before a “virtual manager” logged on. Here’s what we learned: Although the list price online is $84 for a 10x10 unit that’s not even on ground floor, they have an administration fee AND a fee if you want it actually locked (who doesn’t?) which bumps your monthly up to about $150 total. They will also raise the rates every 4-5 months. The guy was polite enough I guess, then gave us a “temporary code” to see ourselves in and look at the unit. Couldn’t figure out how to get in the gate, had to wait for someone to leave from inside so we could go through. Then the code didn’t work. We couldn’t get in, it was just too much hassle. I can’t imagine actually having to store stuff here. Will be choosing a different option. ... Read more

DO NOT RENT HERE. My unit was broken into and thousands of dollars worth of stuff was stolen. There’s blood all over my stuff from where they cut themselves breaking in. Lock was broken. Stuff was thrown everywhere. A ladder was left in the my unit that’s is not mine. I’m guessing they used it to break in the top. I saw blood in front of a couple of other units so I’m sure I’m not the only one!! I will be getting the police involved. They consistently raise rent prices for stuff to be easily stolen and no one notices??? ... Read more

This place is okay in terms of quality of area to store stuff. They have had some maintenance issues which is annoying and that limited their hours from 9-5 for a good while. The thing that is annoying to me is that they have twice raised the rent price for no reason. I just got the email on this and it’s pretty freaking annoying that they would do that. The first time they did it was annoying but I figured the price was kind of okay still and I had been in a few months and just couldn’t go back in and remove everything, so I kept things. Now though, they are trying to pull this a second time. I can’t imagine what costs you are incurring that need a $30 increase in rent on a storage facility, up from another $20ish dollar increase earlier in the year. This is all in one year, folks. So if money is no object to you then I guess have at it. Otherwise the place has been fairly decent in terms of security and all. Bring some ear plugs or something though cause the carts they have for people to use are obnoxiously loud in a big metal warehouse. ... Read more

I found Go Store It through one of the sites that sends your search information to a bunch of companies to compete for your business. The rate they return seemed too good to be true but I jumped on it with all my fingers and toes crossed! Surprise! It was true! The rate they returned was not only true but for a few dollars more I could get rental insurance also! The signup process was easy. There were all these red flag type things happening but everything they advertised was true and I had no issues! I was even able to pay up for 6 months and when the renewal came it was higher but they warned about this during the initial signup and when it was three months in case I wanted to cancel and find another place prior to my renewal. The increase was still doable so I stayed. And as my luck would have it, disaster did strike because of Texas Bipolar weather! Go Store It Management was on top of the damage and getting us into new units and no additional cost. A lot of people lost everything but I was lucky and only lost one item. But that didn't matter to Go Store It...whether I lost one of all, they gave me a new unit moved all my stuff for me! I know people have had complaints but under such dire circumstances they did a stellar job! I am grateful for all they did! I like the facility and the security they have. You can't even go use the restroom without your code! If something bad has happened to you or your unit, its because of other tenants blatant disrespect and disregard for the security measures set forth. So, don't blame Go Store It...they did their part and then some!! ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 4 to 500 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Go Store It - 2500 Lone Star Drive start from $5 and can go up to $460 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
