I would like to share my experience to anyone it may be useful to. Barbara is the nicest! Although, I had a horrible experience with RATS in the storage unit. I rented for a month and found my tools hoses bitten by rats. There was also rat poop on the floor. The Location looks super clean from exterior but I don't understand how rats are a problem. Renters are at charge for rat control. I lost a couple hundred dollars with the tools hoses. I called office and they responded that they cannot do anything about it. I feel a little upset and I have decided to not rent there anymore. Everything is other wise very nice. I wish they could have at least helped with the problem, not simply put me away. All I stored was tools, painting tools. ... Read more

Been storing there since 1992 at least. Barbara, the current manager, has been very efficient, friendly, thorough and well mannered. Highly recommend! The negative comment given by another reviewer does not reflect the experience I and my family have with her, her husband and The Attic. ... Read more

This was the best value I found in the area. I feel that it's very secure and clean. The price for a 10x20 was lower than anyone else and there were no surprise fees like with the "free month" people. Barbara is super-nice and she seems to take care of business just fine. I saw a very over-the-top negative review on here, but it doesn't reflect my experience at all. I would rent a unit from here again in a heartbeat. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Attic Self Storage - 10949 Walnut Hill Lane include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
