Online rental was easy and used their online rate which was a great price. I was expecting a rate increase but buyer beware they will raise your rate 2-3 months later they hiked mine up with a 33% increase $45 dollars more a month. Im not sure if this is why they have a low online rate. Also I had turned in my home owners insurance to cover storage contents and they accepted that but two months later they said they didnt have anything on file. "Conveniently" they had their own in house insurance to offer that they added to my bill without me even signing off on it. Good facilities, good staff but very questionable and shady practices. wouldn't recommend for long term but good for a short period storage option. ... Read more

I don't even want to give this place a 1 star review. This place is infested with mice and rats. I moved out due to rat droppings all over my unit and items. They don't have traps inside the facility but have a couple outside which isn't going to stop the rodents. I had rodents inside my trash can which I had to throw away and one was already decomposing. Then the manager proceeds to say the tenants can't use the dumpster that's there which is crazy to me. I know I wasn't the only one with problems with rodents. A couple was moving their stuff out due to these rodents peeing and pooping everywhere and all over their items. Me n my son were actually hearing these rodents in other units going through people's items and inside their storages. This place is brand new and they have these problems which is disgusting. I have pictures of everything. I do NOT RECOMMEND anyone to have their items here unless you want RODENT PROBLEMS. Now I have to clean all my items they peed on my belongings and droppings were everywhere. They tore up important documents that was in fact inside of something. This is just ridiculous. I will NEVER use them again. This is why we stay and use UHAUL. I was told by the manager that I was going to be fined for using the dumpster to get rid of the items that were ruined by these rodents. And then the fact that they wanted to raise the rent on these infested units is AGAIN crazy to me. What they need to do is get the rodent situation under control before raising prices. Get it together. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 100 to 420 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Move It Self Storage - 7101 Yorktown Blvd start from $130 and can go up to $462 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
