The new owner is hijacking all the old reviews when it WAS a great option.. Since the new owners have had it, prices have increases and maintenance has gone down. I do not recommend this place. Used to be the best value for my money in the area when I found this place over a year ago. The onsite staff WAS wonderful. I just got notice for another 25% increase in rent. UPDATE 8/25 Just received notice, another price increase. From $160 to $202. 3rd increase in 2 years. ... Read more

Storage units are fairly clean and free of debris. They take pretty good care of their customers. We use them as a storage area for our trucks. We go and pick up every day. We drop them off every day and we have yet to see an issue they have been a fantastic company to be able to work with very accommodating. ... Read more

This place charged me twice for the storage fee causing me to pick up an overdraft fee. I called trying to get a refund after I sent proof of the extra monthly payment they took. These people have kept me waiting saying the supervisor will contact me after they review their papers and confirm I was charged twice even after I sent them banking information confirming what I’m saying is true. I am still waiting on my money back and now my electric company is calling wanting their payment and KO storage has yet to refund, email or call me to apologize for taking extra money from my bank account, and to finally give me my money back so I can pay my electric bill. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with how this is being handled. I am going to stop the auto pay and just send my payment thru the mail to prevent this thievery. KO Storage shame on you. ... You can expect a rate increase every 6 months and nobody on the premises. As an added bonus you have to buy insurance through them. Couldn't add it on to my homeowner's policy. And you are unable to decline. That being said the contract places all liability for anything happening directly on the renter. So I don't get the point. Except for their insurance bill to be reduced or nonexistent. Try expressing your concerns to someone in a call center. No management onsite. Corpus Christi Storage Solutions, the previous owners sold out to a company that controls 200+ such locations. I rented from them for many years at a fair price with only 1 reasonable rate increase. There was a couple living on premises and dog keeping an eye out. As well as excepting payment there or check by mail. You will not get any of those amenities from the new ownership K.O. Storage. Expect to be lured in with a "teaser good rate" with increases to follow. If this is a temporary situation for you then it's probably okay. But if long term storage. Especially of heavy or hard to move property then I would suggest trying elsewhere. Loyalty or longevity will not be respected. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 10224 Leopard Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 100 to 360 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 10224 Leopard Street start from $33 and can go up to $188 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
