My roommate and I just moved into our dorms (and ended up overpacking) but Karen was great at helping us find a storage unit to fit it all in. The rates are fairly reasonable, my roommate and I are glad to know all of our belongings will be safe here. ... Read more

Karen is a GOD SEND and very sweet and passionate person. I went in without her knowing my situation and she immediately began showing me grace I hadn’t felt or experienced during my whole ordeal and it just seems I was sent to her or GOD put it on her heart to help me and she indeed went ABOVE AND BEYOND!! Such a blessing and pleasure to do business with her and she gave me the BIGGEST AND MOST SINCERE HUGS that I really needed at the time and I could not hold back the tears the entire time! I wasn’t in the office 5 mins and she was already trying to figure out how to help me! I will never forget this encounter! I also need to add that this is the 3400 Longmire location! ... Read more

WOW. Just Wow! Do not EVER believe what their employees tell you on the phone. And don't rely on the information you put in your "reservation" online, including the start date. I made a reservation on 6/25 online with a start dated of 6/27 and had to pay before I could see the contract. The contract has language releasing them from liability if they or someone else steals your information (including credit card information). There were other issues with the contract that were troublesome, in my opinion, but I had already paid PRIOR to getting the "take it or leave it contract" with blanks that you are unable to fill in or correct before you sign, so against my better judgment, I signed it since I had already paid. After further thought regarding my needs and the uncomfortable release of liability language in the contract, I called on 6/29 (two days after the start date I put in my reservation) to inquire about cancelling. When I called, I was told by their employee, Chen?, that since I did not move into the unit and my first month's rent was free, that I would not be charged the first month's rent if I cancelled and would only be charged at $29 admin fee. I asked if I could get that in writing before I cancelled, and Chen said I would get a receipt once the Manager checked the unit and confirmed I never moved in. I did get that receipt showing zero rent, etc. the same day. Two weeks later I get my credit card statement and they charged the full $199 for the first months rent. I calmly explained the situation to the Manager, Sandra?, and she said they have a 3 day cancellation rule and I could not get my money back, even though the start date in my reservation was 7/27 and I would have been within the 3 day cancellation period. WATCH YOUR DATES CAREFULLY. Sounds incredibly shady to me to have you put a start date in your online reservation, require you to pay, THEN send you a contract with blanks and errors that you can't fix and just have to sign as-is. Then, surprise, they use the date you sign the contract as your start date instead of the start date you put in your reservation. After I cancelled, my original review gave them two stars because after I read the contract, I was TOLD that I could terminate and would only be charged the $29 admin fee since I hadn't moved into the space and the first month's rent was free. Chen NEVER said there was only a 3 day cancellation period. He said if I cancelled, I would get my $199 refunded. But that was a lie. And they tape the calls, so the Manager knows what I was told and still will not honor what her employee represented to me would be done. I cancelled based on my reliance on the employee's statement that I would get my money back. I realize employee's make mistakes, but when they do and the customer relies on them, then the store should honor the representations made by the employee. THe Manager offered to "train" the employee better, but refused to refund my money. It's either a SCAM or just BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. Either way, I'd beware of this place. ... Read more

No gimmicky fuss at these locations. Corp neglect of the properties beware; however, Courtney and Karen, the custodians of College Station NSA storage, these ladies are forthcoming and helpful. They provide excellent customer service and we had pleasant and humorous interactions. Storage as a product; the 1002 facility has a couple of quirks; 1) there is only one entry/exit gate and the position of the keypad requires most drivers to exit their vehicle to interact with the entry pad, but they may stay in their vehicle on exit (requires a gatecode to leave). There is not a vehicle sensor on exit, which is better for security but less convenient. 2) most of the units appear to have a raised foundation that creates a step 4" to 8" tall (eyeball estimate) which makes for a trip hazard and slightly less convenient storage but this should provide some protection from flooding when this region "enjoys" its stupidly heavy storm rains. 3) the 10x30 that I saw was close to dimension, with apprx 9' ceilings and insulation. The 10x25 I am renting has apprx 8'3" ceiling. It also has a few small gaps at the rear of the unit bug enough to allow rodents access. I will probably stuff course steel wool in these locations every few months and keep an eye out for droppings. These are not luxury storage units and they aren't marketed as such so, I think I received a reasonable rate and can comfortably deal with the quirks. The 1002 facility has the closest actual measurements to the advertised dimensions that I have seen in town so I don't feel ripped off here. ... Read more

The storage facility itself is great, haven’t had any issues with the unit, and the staff is friendly. The location is safe and I feel safe going early in the morning or at night if needed. My issue is the cost and price raises. I have used this storage facility twice. The first time I got a 10x10 not climate controlled. Had the unit from November til about June. In that time frame there was a price raise of $12.Then got another notice of a price raise again and I removed my items and canceled. And I was charged a fee for not having renters insurance for the first two months when I gave them a copy of my insurance the day I got the unit. Then emailed it again and they claimed they didn’t get it. This time I have a 20x20 unit we got the end of October for $98 monthly and 60 days later we got an email stating they raised the fee to $118… $20 price raise after 2 months?!? That’s ridiculous. I’m scared to see what it’s going to be by the time my apartment lease is up in a year. Us single parents don’t have a lot of money, we get storage because we can’t afford a larger home, we don’t get pay raises every 2 months. Stop being shady stealing money just because your fine print says you can. That’s bad business and will make people share their experience and turn others away. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecurCare Self Storage - 3400 Longmire Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecurCare Self Storage - 3400 Longmire Drive start from $34 and can go up to $156 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
