This place took my buggy while I was working next door at a church construction site and refused to give it back. If management is like that who would trust them to take care of my stuff. It wasn't even on their property. Normally an adult who is honorable would have left it alone. I had power tools of various types worth several hundred dollars, clothes, fingernail assesories with polish ,paints, new bible, Snow cone maker, globe, and several other things. I am between homes right now and that was all I had in this world and when I told her she didn't care at all. Now I have nothing! No clothes! My wallet with id ear buds. I mean anyone with a heart would have given me my things. Not her.i wouldn't even give them a star. Oh and now when I call the number it tells me the number is disconnected. They took my stuff and then acted like it was no big deal and didn't return it. The black lady with red hair was was rude and as manager she didn't think that she could or can get in trouble. I have no way of reaching the company now she took it for all the fingernail products in it. ... Read more

While browsing the internet for a storage facility for my daughter, I emailed several places around town. I received a prompt response and the price was fair. Since we live out of town, I didn't realize we could have found a closer unit, but it was worth the drive! Not only was the unit clean, the customer service was excellent! Nisha makes you feel like family. I will definitely spread the word! ... Read more

My husband and I rented a large storage unit for around 2 years. We always paid on time. There was one raise in price while there, our 10x30 went from about $200 to about $220. Not terrible. We never encountered any issues and were pretty happy with our experience. When we bought a home and no longer needed storage, I looked at their website for move out instructions. Pretty simple; Give 10 days written notice and leave unit swept clean. Then remove your lock and notify office when you vacate. So we sent both notifications in email, that way we had a record. I never got a response, but my access to the online payment system was blocked the next day, so I figured we were all good to go. I included our forwarding address with the email just in case they needed to reach us again. A couple months later I received a notice from cubby hole saying that we wouldn't get our deposit back because we didn't follow the proper move out procedure. It was mailed out sooner than that, but cubby hole mailed it to the old address and I guess it got held up at the post office. Funny thing is that I didn't recall paying a deposit and wasn't expecting one, but I wanted to follow up with Cubby Hole because I thought I did follow procedure and not once did they let me know, by responding to my emails, that i needed to do anything other than what was listed on the website. So my husband calls and they say that they didn't get our 10 day notice, but in my infinite wisdom ??, I had proof in my emails that we did indeed give it. Then they said that we didn't give notice on the day we vacated, but my husband provided the proof of that. Then she said that it's because the day you vacate, you need to come in person and physically write something. She told him that it's on the agreement we signed and that she told us two years ago when we signed it. We didn't recall that, but we did recall where we put the agreement. So we've gone over it and still can't find where it says you have to come in to the office to physically write something out. Nor did Cubby Hole have the courtesy to send a reminder of their preferred procedure when we emailed the 10 day notice to them. I couldn't care less if we get the deposit back. I don't need or want it. What I do care about is not feeling like someone is trying to pull one over on me. Before this, I would have gladly recommend using Cubby Hole to my friends and strangers. However, now I feel like they are trying to take advantage and not running it honestly. I'd hate to have someone that I recommended the place to to have the same experience. So, no. I don't recommend using the Cubby Hole in Bryan, TX. ***Update*** I am pleased that the owner has responded on here that they are looking into the situation. I haven't heard back yet, but will gladly change my rating if they can assure me that this was a fluke and not normally how the business is handled. Like I said, we were very happy with our experience there until we inquired about the letter sent about not following move out procedure. ***Update 12/4*** A gentleman from Cubby Hole contacted me to apologize and make things right. I appreciate the time and effort they took to reach out and assure me that our situation was the exception and not the rule. I stand by my word and have changed my rating from 1 star, to 4. But honestly, if this situation had never occurred, I would have given them 5 stars. ... Read more

If you're looking for a clean and safe place to store your things for a great price, this is the place for you! It's not the most convenient spot for me but the reason I used them two summers in a row is because they are SO friendly and really go above and beyond. I moved from another country last summer and was all on my own and very stressed. The lady working there helped me move my stuff in my unit and helped me move my uhaul without me even asking for her help. I used them again this summer to keep my stuff somewhere over the summer while I went home and I'm just as happy with their service this time around. Everyone I've talked to has been so kind and helpful. Moving your stuff is stressful so it's great to talk to people who are so nice. The only complain I have is the doors upstairs don't open very wide and if you had bigger things, I think that could become an issue. Other than that, amazing place! ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 9 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Cubby Hole Texas Self-Storage - 1821 East 29th Street start from $20 and can go up to $185 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
