Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 5016 East Ben White Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I had a very bad experience with public Storage located at 5016 E a en white Blvd Austin tx, storage #C162, in december i went to pay for my storage and was shocked to find that it had already been sold,i asked why? It had been auctioned, and they said it was because the November PAYMENT has t been made, i have proofs igot all my payments I Personally went and paid with money orden on NOVEMBER 29th,, but the ISSUE WAS THE EMPLOYEE DIDN’T SUBMIT THE PAYMENT until december 1st, or 2nd and took four days for the MONEY ORDER to be entered in to the system.it was very Negligent ,Up to now i’ve tried to communicate with the main PUBLIC storage Main HEAD so they can compansate me for the belonging that were auctioned off due to their BIG MISTAKE , Att:GabyFranco ... This location is infested with Rats & all my valuables are ruined, this went on for a year & is still going strong. Six months later I'm still getting calls saying my unit is going into auction. Someone call the Health Dept. Or an exorcist it's that bad. ... Read more

Our van was broken into twice and they told us that the only way to get the video footage was to have the police request it. Well, by the time the police requestedd it, Public Storage deleted it. No recourse for theft at this place. ... Read more

I'm getting out of here. This public stoarge has a very relaxed attitude toward my vehicle being broken into TWICE. The first time they were unable to provide the investigator with footage (from an angle that clearly showed my vehicle). They don't even maintain the barbed wire around the fencing. I don't leave anything important in my vehicle, but homeless people are jumping the fence all the time. I'd chalk it up to unfortunate location if not for their negligence in maintenance and apathy towards helping me. ... Read more

My storage unit was broken into twice. The cameras that they have don’t work. Staff was not helpful and they made it evident that it is relatively common. Homeless camps are very close to this location, so I guess I had it coming. If you use this storage facility, make sure to get insurance and be aware of your surroundings when moving in. You 100% do sacrifice on quality care by choosing this facility - just pay the extra money and go with somewhere better if you care about your belongings at all. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 5016 East Ben White Blvd include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 5016 East Ben White Blvd start from $28 and can go up to $271 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
