If you’re currently searching for a new apartment for rent in Atlanta, it’s hardly any news for you, that it’s like finding a needle in a haystack. And the inventory is constantly growing: more than 10,000 apartment units have entered the market in just the past 2 years, according to Yardi Matrix.
There are also lots of factors to take into consideration—it’s where you’re going to spend a significant amount of your time after all, and what can be more important than that, right? Location, price and the amount of space are obviously crucial when choosing your next apartment, but leafing through listings, you find these things out in a blink of an eye. However, there’s no guarantee that you’re actually going to like living there, even if the home you selected matches all your criteria. Certain things you only find out after you’ve actually moved in. Unless somebody else who already lives there can tell you! You see where this is heading, right?
We thought we could help pinpoint the best deal by putting together a list of 10 of the best-rated apartment communities in the Big Peach, so we took to Yelp and Facebook to find out which are the highest-rated apartments in Atlanta.
Here’s a list with 10 of the highest-rated apartment communities in Atlanta, based on ratings given by renters like you:
Flats at Perimeter Place, 60 Perimeter Center Place
Yelp rating: 4.5*/5 (16 reviews)
Facebook rating: 4.2*/5 (29 reviews)
Property description: This community offers some gorgeous features and amenities on-site, but before you get lost in in the Flats at Perimeter Place experience, let’s not forget about its surroundings. World-class dining, spas and a wide array of retail stores awaits you within minutes of your home. This level of urban sophistication is a rare find even in the popular Dunwoody area, so the property is definitely worth checking out. It’s just our recommendation, fair enough, but people who actually live there seem to agree—just look at those ratings!
Axis at Perimeter Luxury Apartments, 8 Perimeter Center E
Yelp rating: 4.5*/5 (9 reviews)
Facebook rating: 4*/5 (31 reviews)
Property description: I may have said something about the previous property being a rare find, but this one is in the same neighborhood, so… Alright, on a second thought, we have two rare finds in the same area. With its modern finishes and exquisite amenities Axis at Perimeter definitely deserves a place among the best communities, and that’s what the ratings suggest too. Just as before, the same upscale shopping and fine dining hotspots are within easy reach and with I-285 and Highway 400 serving the region, commute is hassle-free.
Alta Midtown, 915 W. Peachtree Street
Yelp rating: 4.5*/5 (10 reviews)
Facebook rating: 5*/5 (21 reviews)
Property description: The amenity pool deck with those soaring cityscape views in itself should be enough to get ratings like this, but Alta Midtown offers much, much more than that. Let’s see: it’s located in the dead-center of coveted Midtown. It has a beautiful, one-acre courtyard with water features. It’s pet friendly. The units are equipped with stainless natural gas appliances, tankless water heaters and smart thermostats. Heated saltwater pool… Need I say more?
Windsor At Midtown, 641 North Avenue NE
Yelp rating: 4.5*/5 (6 reviews)
Facebook rating: 4.3*/5 (9 reviews)
Property description: Also located in Midtown Atlanta, Windsor at Midtown is just at a couple of steps’ distance from points of interest such as Piedmont Park, Peachtree Street, museums, the best Atlanta restaurants and entertainment venues. You can choose from studio, one- and two-bedroom units, all with large kitchens, generous closets and bright living spaces. Common-space amenities include a sparkling lap pool, a modern business center, on-site dry cleaning service, as well as a 24-hour gym.
AMLI Lindbergh, 2400 Parkland Drive NE
Yelp rating: 4.5*/5 (19 reviews)
Facebook rating: 4.1*/5 (34 reviews)
Property description: This Energy Star-certified apartment community pampers its residents with high-end finishes that include hardwood floors and granite countertops, but we suspect that it’s the amenities that really pulled the cursors of residents towards the 5-star ratings. It’s got a gorgeous resort-style pool, a fully-equipped fitness center, a business center, internet café, a relaxing lounge, a clubhouse with kitchen, outdoor fireplace with seating and additional picnic areas with grills. Pets are also welcome, and so are your smart devices, as the Wi-Fi network is available from even the most hidden corners of the amenity areas.
Mezzo Apartment Homes, 2171 Peachtree Road NW
Yelp rating: 4.5*/5 (9 reviews)
Facebook rating: 4.9*/5 (9 reviews)
Property description: The market is huge, options are plentiful, but not a lot of communities out there offer this much square footage and amenities of this quality. The pool has a large sundeck and it’s pretty much as good as it gets, not to mention the clubhouse, where you can play a game of pool with your friends, or just relax with your favorite drink after a long workday. It received a Walk Score of 81, meaning that the best of what Buckhead has to offer is literally within a couple of steps away from home.
1016 Lofts Apartments, 1016 Howell Mill Road
Yelp rating: 4*/5 (10 reviews)
Facebook rating: 4.5*/5 (13 reviews)
Property description: If you’ve been overcome by the loft-style living craze, these apartments in Midtown Atlanta are for you. All four buildings of this community have been specifically tailored for Georgia Tech students and young professionals in general, being ideally located within minutes of both Downtown and Buckhead. The residences themselves are truly unique, offering enormous, 10-foot ceilings, concrete floors, extra storage, and great views of the skyline.

Facebook rating: 4.3*/5 (79 reviews)
Property description: Metropolis is one of Midtown Atlanta’s first modern high rise residential buildings. Completed in 2002, the community offers 14 stories of living space along with a gorgeous 7th floor pool with a full amenities deck, and ground-level retail space. Due to its prime location, halfway between the High Museum of Art and the Fox Theater along Peachtree, and Piedmont Park and Georgia Tech along 10th, all of Midtown’s points of interest are basically at your doorstep.
