Renters with children have come to love these popular Atlanta neighborhoods that offer fun activities, great schools, and safety.

Atlanta is one of the nation’s fastest growing cities, welcoming an influx of new residents from other states throughout the nation. Renters with families generally have one question at the top of their lists, “Which neighborhoods have the best schools?” In addition to quality education, the following neighborhoods also offer a wealth of community events, cultural attractions, and spacious housing that permit room to grow.

Vinings The Vinings neighborhood has consistently topped the charts as one of the most coveted areas in Atlanta. This cozy neighborhood offers properties and rentals with roomy floor plans, yards worth playing in, and scenery that flourishes with natural beauty. This historic neighborhood lends itself well for a family that is looking to settle down.

North Druid Hills Schools in this neighborhood are respected for their academic rigor. One of the few international baccalaureate schools in the state are located here, preparing students for professional competition on global scale. Proximity to the Emory University campus provides families and youth with plenty of trendy shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Brookhaven This historic country club and summer home neighborhood has changed much over the years, yet still holds on to plenty of its previous charm. Plenty of architectural gems deck the narrow streets, complemented by quaint neighborhood storefronts. While most of the area remains quiet and residential, there are a few spots that offer young renters a hip, fun place to hang out in the evening. A quick drive will carry residents to multicultural hotspots in nearby neighborhoods with a wider variety of dining and entertainment options.best neighborhoods for families atlanta

North Decatur Not far from the active Decatur Square, residents of North Decatur get the best of both worlds: an active city center with plenty of festivals, concerts, renown restaurants and other community hangouts amidst established neighborhoods and schools. Not all properties here boast ample playroom but a collection of nearby parks give kids plenty to do.

Wild Card: Cedar Grove Venture outside of the Perimeter to Cedar Grove, a growing community featuring rising schools with an emphasis on parental involvement. The high school received a High Performance Reward School honor from the Georgia Department of Education. Though Cedar Grove rests southeast of Atlanta city limits, the area burgeons with metropolitan style opportunities that are expected only to improve. Get in on homes that are affordable and slated to rise in value!
