New apartmentJust as nature turns back to life, apartment renters are back on the road this spring season, hunting for new places to call home. Here’s why moving is an inspired choice this time of the year.

No one else does it. It’s not quite prime moving season yet. Most families choose to relocate sometime between Memorial Day and Labor Day, so moving in the spring can be a significant cost saver and a convenient as well.

Perfect time to catch the breeze. As the days grow longer and the weather friendlier, more of your buddies and family will be willing and available to help you on moving day. Though you might be tempted to go with a winter move because of the better price options, cold weather can prove extremely harsh on your belongings. Some items like antique woods or electronics may result in damaged goods if kept overnight in a truck under freezing conditions.

Spring break is near. Packing up everything you own in a few boxes and moving to a new place can be a daunting task by itself and it gets even harder if there are kids involved. By choosing the right time to move, such as the spring break when school isn’t in session, you can make the transition less stressful and more of a pleasant experience. When setting a moving date, consider that your children will need time to adjust to the new home environment, unpack and meet new neighborhood friends before school begins.

Time for spring cleaning. Few people would argue with you that springtime is the best time to embark on a cleaning project. This is an excellent time to go on a de-cluttering spree, sorting, labeling and donating any excess goods, and making sure you take only what you need to your new home.

Moving can be fun with a reliable moving company. The best way to get the job done right is with a full-service moving company. Beyond taking care of your belongings on moving day, their professional staff will help you plan your move, safely deliver boxes to your new home and help you get settled.

Here’s a short video of 10 basic moving tips to help you prepare for moving day:
