Infuse your home with positivity

Positivism is the energy that creates, that makes things happen. Thinking positively attracts positive things into our lives, while stress and pessimism, doubt and fear, are the ones dragging us down. Does this apply to our living space? Of course it does, that is why it’s important to follow a few steps for a happy living space.

Get your happy face going at home.

Clean, cluttered-free home. A daily pick up ensures the much needed comfort for your mind. Waking up to a clean house gives a sense of calmness, benefic at the start of the day. A room with an airy feel gives that relaxed type of breathing that’s just what you need after a day at work or at the university. Stumbling your eyes over too many items exhausts and creates tension. Store what you don’t use daily in covered closets or drawers.

Craft project - life, laugh, love blocks

Living beings in your home. Whether you have pets or plants is not that important, either adds to the love and warmth of the home. We all know that our four-legged buddies lower the stress level while plants purify the air and make us smile with their pretty colors and heavenly fragrances.

Surprise yourself throughout the house with pictures of your friends, family and loved ones and cute decorations, especially in the dullest areas of the house. They will be a constant reminder that you are being cared about, that you are not alone.

Let there be light. A Flemish proverb says “Where there is sunshine, the doctor starves.”, so open the blinds and let in the natural light.

Natural Lighting

Fix broken things or throw them away. Most importantly, take care of the things you have. Don’t keep nicked plates and glasses, not only do they present the risk of hurting you, they also are said to bring bad luck.

One more thing, when life gives you limes, rearrange the letters until they say Smile.
