It's Not Bad

The staff is great! Lately, the community has been going downhill. There have been a few vehicle break-ins, and people still do not pick up after their dogs. Since everyone is forced to be home, the noise outside is sometimes annoying, especially on sunny weekends. Other than that, it isn't a bad place to live.

Long time resident

The Management turnover in the last year has been extremely aggregating. Thing not getting done because there is no leadership. Communication with leasing office is awful. Property is not getting taken care of. I have been told for over a year that they are going to repair the smoke stacks left on top of buildings and still they are their and wobbling ready to fall at the next strong wind. You had hear them when it is windy and hear the water leaking when it is raining. the grounds are not being taken care of. They did not put new wood chips in our backyard and the old ones stink and are just a soggy mess at most times. I am not sure why the area manager has not been on the property during this management nightmare but seems like they need to maybe pay attention to what is going on here and figure out why the employees do not stay. The previous manager stayed for a couple of years. In the midst of all this turnover and mismanaged property they have to gaul to ask for an increase in rent when the Kirkland/Juanita area where you can find a 4 bdrm house for the same price as their 2 bdrm town homes. Hope this gets to someone that can help this property.

Farewell to a great place to live

We only planned on staying here for 9 months as a stop over before beginnng a gyspsy adventure after my husband retired. His retirement is still in the works but we are still able to leave. We have enjoyed our time here at hidden river. The staff (now that it is set again) has been great for the most part. We had a minor issue with not being able to have a good leasing office staff after the long time manager was promoted, but we now have a great staff again. The amenities are great! There is a pool, a small gym, a playground for kids and a dog park for your dog. Yes, it is pet friendly. Even with the dogs though there isn't a lot of barkiing. The pool was my oasis the past two summers and I am going to miss it it! My only complaint was when our lease was up and we wanted to extend for another 6 months, they charged us a "flex fee" because apparently they were only offering 1 year renewals. It pushed our rent with utilities over $3,000.00 but we didn't want to have to pay to find another place and move everything for 6 months. All in all it has been a positive experience and I would recommend hidden rivers as a great place to live.
