The Rivera is all about location, appealing views and awesome people. Choosing an apartment is all about which view you want: a refined architectural cityscape, a park view with fun nightlife, an urban edge near bridges or a posh poolscape. I’ve lived overlooking the vast dog park and patio nights with muted night club music were so much fun. Overlooking the street view might treat you to the smell of the freshly baked cookies from the bakery, or at least lots of community and a nightlife crowd. The building itself contains a luxe coffee shop and hair salon. Dog lovers unite because you can take your dog to the cafe and to the dog park across the way. Cats are mostly indoors. The pool scene is an entire melting pot of people who take barbecuing and sunning seriously. When I say scene, I mean it because you feel like you are in a festive place not just going to pool and I love it. The units are spacious. Even the smaller ones have high ceilings. Many of the units in this building tend to be on the larger side, so space really is everything here. The hallways stretch long and so you really get a mini workout just around the building. The staff are friendly and work hard to make living at the Rivera feel worth it. Living here is being near everything from being a block or so from the River Walk, a 10 minute walk to the Pearl District and steps from a cafe, food trucks, beer gardens and restaurants.

Everything is perfect in Rivera. Only minor issue (not to me) was about hearing the train noise during the night while sleeping. Not a big deal.

In my experience, Rivera on Broadway has been a great place to live. It's location is incredibly convenient for wanting to be close the downtown area, but not directly inside it. It's close to the riverwalk and plenty of places to eat. Broadway in general is a nice street. On the inside, it is kept quite clean, normally very quiet, and in general provides a relaxing and easy going environment that everyone wants when they come home.

Rivera is the cheapest apartment near the Museum Reach Riverwalk. Apartments are decent sized. Nice parking garage. Grest pool and gum. Friendly staff. But maintenance always seems behind the curve. Stairwells haven't been deep cleaned in years. Parking garage always has broken glass in places. Doors are continually having issues. The door on the 4th floor garage becomes unusable every 3 or 4 months and Rivera always tweaks the spring instead of replacing it. Just frustrating that maintenance and deep cleaning aren't taken more seriously.
