Can it get worse?
Maintenance is the lone "bright" spot, that being said they often times come in wreaking of cigarettes, don't put on shoe covers tracking mud through the apartment, and occasionally fail to fix the issue but rather "slap some duct tape on it". The staff in the office are rude, lacking common sense, and fail to make you feel like you're a valued resident. The gym is always down about 10-15% of the equipment whether that be from the equipment being broken to the equipment missing. One machine has been broken since we arrived in 2020 and has never been fixed. No one picks up after their dogs and it's not enforced at all, the gates are constantly in a cycle of being broke, the buildings are lacking proper insulation and the balconies were all recently "upgraded" although after the upgrades my new railing was missing metal bars, had sharp metal sticking out where the bar had been broken and the paint was already chipping... Not much of an upgrade considering I lost my balcony form March till June. The pool is always filthy and the grills are hit and miss. They claim to be upgrading units but given the turn around time between tenets there is no way that they are actually trying to upgrade any of the units. They try to charge premium luxury rates but offer mid to lower level amenities and interior upgrades.
Not what I expected.
I have lived here for about 4 months and we have had a lot if issues with maintenace/ issues with faulty appliances, mold in the apartment, etc.... and management not handling issues that arise professionally or in a timely manner.
New Leaser
Gaby of the Leasing Office was exceptionally awesome and accommodating. However, we took the whole day to finish the process. We were just n the office at 9:00am and was finished around 6:30pm. She was alone multitasking. With the unit, I hope it is not fully carpeted because it’s difficult to clean and considering the pandemic, we need to clean our living space as much as possible. I love that it’s a gated fully automated, the entrance and exit gates. I feel relatively safe. For the parking space, there’s no dedicated parking while you are on waiting list for the garage, shaded parking. Overall, we are happy with the community at Colonnade and Ms Gaby is great!
Things about things that did things
I love this place it has felt like a true home for my family until the day they raised our rent by 25 percent and the. Proceeded to do construction on our building that resulted in a saw going through to my children's wall while they were playing, in the same lease term as the price hike renewal, we also have had them take a look at our microwave 4 different times to have them say oh it just needs a reset. The office staff are amazing and I love working with them but the maintenance staff pretend to be electricians.
