Had I known that the utilities was going to be as high as they are I would have never moved into this place. I completely understood that the utilities would be allocated by how many people lived in the unit and the size of the unit but that is not how it works out at all! I've lived in other apartment complexes where the utilities were allocated and not one of those apartment complexes utility bill were even close to being as high as they are in these apartments. The maintenance guys leave the lights on 24/7 in units they are cleaning up and getting ready for the next tenant which I have found out in the year and a half of living here affects my bills. Where I am currently located in these apartments I have vacant units around me and my neighbors have vacant units around them and we have compared bills and we have figured out that we are definitely being charged for other units even if they're not being occupied. I'm paying as much as my neighbor is, some months even more, and he uses more appliances that would make a electric and water bill go high. Tell me how that makes sense? If I'm a family of four and my neighbor is a family of three and they have a washer and dryer as well as them telling me that they keep their thermostat regardless of the temperature outside at 67° day and night and I surely do not do that at all nor do I have a washer and dryer in my unit so why is my water bill almost $80 more than their water bill? Why is my electric bill almost $60 more than their electric bill? You cannot honestly tell me that one person between his household and my household makes the difference when they blast their AC all day long and they run their washer and dryer every other day multiple times a day. And when we ask our very nice apartment managers what the deal is with our utility bills they repeat the same answers to us every time which is them explaining allocation to us again. Wow!
