Great pkace to live, but maintnance is not reliable
Good location, old building
Living for a full year. Staff is nice; location is really good (close to Rice Village); however the parking lot is small and tight; the building itself and the facilities are really old and need continuous maintenance (e.g., garage gate is broken a lot of times).
Decent place to live
Decenr place to live in. Close proximity to the medical center, convinient for students and people who work there. The neighbourhood is nice and quite. Free covered parking. Overall, the apartments are nice and the communication is good. Main downside is the size of the apartments for the price, slow maintennace response time, and lenient security. The locks on some of the walking gates are always broken and the gates to the garage also malfunction often.
Nice, but a little expensive
The Maroneal is a nice property for people working at the Medical Center. If you're new and don't have a car, the property is close to TMC from where you can get a bus or metro to pretty much anywhere in the loop. The apartment complex is very safe and quiet. Most of the residents work at MD Anderson, Baylor, UT, etc. The maintenance staff are good too. We have had a couple of issues that have been promptly resolved. A couple of negatives, the rent is a little high and there are no amenities (like a play area) for kids.
Noisy neighborhood
This is an incredibly noisy neighborhood, it is imposible to sit at home in peace.
