Rude Management

While visiting my aunt who lives in these apartments this Sunday, I decided to take my young son to the pool area. I do see that the The complex had did some upgrades to the pool area, which I thought was pretty neat with the grill and the speakers connected to the playhouse. Which is a way better upgrade than when I lived in the apartments for the pool area anyway it was pretty rundown so that was a plus. While in the pool, there were two people playing music one on the Playhouse and the other hand a speaker. The young lady who did have the speaker up a bit loud I can honestly understand why a Neighbor would maybe ask her to turn it down. However, the way that she was approached by off-duty, Beaumont police officer was rude, obnoxious disrespectful, and totally uncalled. Luckily, the young lady did not get upset or rude back with him. She simply turned down her music and continue swimming with her young children. Five minutes later, we were all approached by older white lady who claimed to be the property manager when she approached us she said rounded up everybody get off the pool. The pool is closed now as she shouted at us to wrap it up as if we were all children. She continued to shout. Let’s go get out pool clothes now that was also rude disrespectful and uncalled for. The incident that happened with the young lady and her music had nothing to do with the other people in the pool mind you it was people of all ethnicities in the pool, but she seemed to only pull out the Black people. I did let her in the off-duty police officer know that what they were doing was absolutely wrong and how they treated us and talk to us was Absolutely disrespectful. Although she might be the property manager, she’s not the owner and ill be sure to contact them about this matter!!!!

poorly maintained complex

Lovely staff. Manager very pleasant, caring and sympathetic. The maintenance crew are wonderful, very responsive and polite. However, the owner does not appear to be allowing maintenance spending as would be expected for the amount of rent you pay. Was obviously a lovely apartment complex once. I think the owner must be spending the least possible on maintenance; perhaps is thinking of getting less desirable tenants in the future which will only drive the apartment further down into the ground. Our bathroom tap has been dripping constantly since we moved in (December 21) and the water flow has now removed the resurfacing film on the bath. In addition we have mold growing on the living room ceiling and condensation pools on the bathroom floor each morning. The maintenance men have already fixed the insulation in the ceiling and have put new sheet rock but the mold is growing through. I have repeatedly asked for the bath leak to be fixed. Recently the toilet cover broke (old age) but I don't think this will be repaired before we leave as so many things are going wrong here. The older residents appear very polite and nice however some of our neighbors are very, very noisy.I would suggest looking elsewhere to a newer apartment complex which is better maintained.

Longfellow Apts

I’ve lived here for a little over 8 years...large apts, nicely landscaped property, very quiet. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I do take care of my place, but the maintenance is also very good. Office staff are friendly and very helpful. We occasionally have a/c problems, but that is because they have a chiller system...but the management has it fixed as soon as possible. Love living here!!!
