Excellent Place to Live

I have lived at FlatIron for almost 3 years. I have found this to be an excellent apartment living experience with one exception, Maintenance. The supervisor's expectation of quality operations are several notches below the rest of Flatiron's living experience. Here are some examples. My dryer door has to be slammed very hard so it will shut. I believe the striker needs replaced. I normally close the door from about one foot from the closed position, but it does not shut. I was told to hold the door close to the close position and slam it hard. Then it will stay closed. My refrigerator was not cooling properly. Maintenance was at my apartment many, many times trying to fix it. They replaced a part that took many weeks to receive. I insisted the refrigerator was still not cooling properly. The supervisor said it was fixed. I asked for a refrigerator thermometer to determine the real temperature. They told me they did not have one and had no willingness to get me one. I had about $20 of fish spoil in the refrigerator. I then bought a thermometer. I took a picture of the thermometer reading and showed it to the manager. The refrigerator was then fixed. Now it sporadically makes some noise but I don't want to deal with until I have to. I understand Maintenance has a budget but the supervisor's understanding of "quality" needs to be commensurate with the rest of Flatiron's operations.
