Muirwood Village

Moved to Muirwood Village in 2003. These are older apartments and things do need upgraded. There have been many different on site property managers over the past 23 years, I will not say bad things about them but I could. The newest one, Linda, over the past several years is making a difference in the managing to assure things are repaired and replaced to ensure a decent living area. Phone calls are returned, she is available and respectfully understands tenants when they have issues and will work with you on them.

It seems to be a good area. .. I don't hear anyone partying. So i do feel safe .

Despite living here for a year, I continue to be surprised by just how quiet it is. I work pretty late, and worry that getting home disturbs folks in other units--it's that quiet! Maintenance: I 've only had one major plumbing issue that was fixed quickly. I fix minor stuff myself since my work hours require scheduling maintenance visits for ridiculous times well outside normal business hours. That is not to say it isn't possible, and I'm sure it could be done. I just don't think it's reasonable to ask for emergency maintenance folks to look at e.g. blinds at 8 or 9p. Neighbors are friendly and quiet; I've never had occasion to complain about noise or security issues. Although I rarely interact with them due to my work hours, I'm pretty sure they would know something wasn't right if they didn't see me for days. This is a low-key, quiet, complex with inexpensive units, long-term residents that are retirees or working professionals. While staff can be a little slow dealing with non-emergency issues, they are friendly and they genuinely try to do a good job. My experience over the year I've lived here has been good.

First apartments can be quite scary, but Muirwood Village has managed to take those worries away.

I want to take a second to give thank you shout out to Mrs Michelle & Mrs Tara for taking time with me. I am hearing impaired. When communication is a problem, I get frustrated and walk out b4 anxiety kicks in. They are nice, caring & well versed with extraordinary Disability Etiquette. The rental office is clean & smells fresh. I feel safe & peaceful in my new home. Maintenance is prompt. Landscaping is beautiful. All i ask is that you continue to take excellent care of Mrs Michelle & Mrs Tara so they can continue to take excellent care of tenants like myself. Teamwork makes the dream work. From the time I walked in rental office I felt a welcoming atmosphere. I am hearing Impaired Mrs Michelle and Mrs Tara were patient with me. Neither of them lack Disability Etiquette. They made me feel safe & welcomed me. I love me new home. I love the location. It is very peaceful. Peaceful is where I've always wanted to be. Mrs Michelle & Mrs Tara are a winning combination.
