I have lived at Solaris for several years and want to share an honest review. While the building has potential to be a great community, significant issues with building integrity and management responsiveness highlighted serious shortcomings in management and basic habitability standards. The front entrance has been broken for months (May 2025), leaving residents vulnerable and undermining security. Management often reassures residents that the property is “monitored,” yet in reality there is no visible presence ensuring safety. I even confirmed with a JCPD officer that thefts are more common in buildings without concierge, which aligns with what residents here have experienced. When Solaris had concierge, incidents were far less frequent. Removing this service without providing alternative safety measures has been a step backwards. Communication is another issue. Residents are encouraged to “raise concerns as they happen,” but in practice, emails and complaints often go unanswered or unresolved for long periods of time. I can provide a documented record of repeated outreach with little to no action. Meanwhile, management cites “community events” and “surveys,” but these are no substitute for proactive, regular check-ins with residents or consistent accountability. I understand Fair Housing and Privacy laws, and I respect those boundaries. But habitability is not optional—it’s the legal and contractual responsibility of management to ensure residents live in a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment. That includes secure doors, timely repairs, and honest communication. Solaris has been my home for the last four years, and I truly hope I can call it home for many more years. But right now, management’s failure to follow through on core obligations has made the building less safe and less enjoyable for those of us who call it home. Residents deserve more than empty reassurances—we deserve the safe, livable housing our leases guarantee.

Modern fixtures, comfortable amentities including lounge and gym. The rooftop could absolutely use some upgrading now that we have lost our view due to new buildings. The staff listens and is attentive to renters needs. They work hard to problem solve. The maintenance team is incredible, the housekeeping team is friendly and efficient. Parking can be difficult at times but for this location not surprising. Overall a wonderful place to live.

The staff is professional and prompt with any issues. Unfortunately there is ongoing construction in the area that blocks views and altogether inconvenient for pricing and also over crowding. Parking availability is a challenge. The gym and lounge area are nice but the rooftop could use some improvement especially since our views are now blocked by new construction. Im dealing with a noisy neighbor but generally the building is quiet and peaceful. Love the location and its a nice place to live.

Solaris Lofts is a great, mid tier luxury apartment option. The building’s tenants are absolutely lovely—super dog friendly. The night doorman, Sup, is also incredible. Overall, I have enjoyed livjng here and feel the cost is equivalent to the value. In terms of the cons, the location is about 2-5 years away from having some of the neighborhood essentias (ie. grocery store, pharmacy, dry cleaner). That said, I think this is a great option if you have a car. The close proximity to the light rail is great but can be challenging late at night and during the winter. The management of the building is hit or miss. They are not great at communicating and can also be unresponsive.
