Pacific West Apartments is a great place to live. Pacific West Apartments has a great location. Close to three grocery stores (Hy-Vee, Aldi and Family Fare). It has a bar, (Rusty Nail) and a donut/coffee shop (Dunkin Donut) right across the street. Down the street there is a bank (American National Bank). Nearby is Harvey Oaks Plaza. It has a Burger King, A+ Buffet Mongolian Grill, A Hills of Beans Coffee Roasters, Mai Thai Restaurant, Romeo's Mexican Food and Pizza, Taco Bell, Raising Cain's Chicken Fingers and QDOBA Mexican Eats.
Maintenance
Good so far- maintnance could be quicker tho
Management unresponsive and unreliable.
I have lived here for 3 years and will not be renewing my lease. The buildings themselves are nice, but management is completely unreachable and unreliable. It has been over a YEAR since someone has answered the phone at the office, and they NEVER return your call. If you email them through RentCafe, they will not respond either. If I have a question, I have to walk in during office hours, and if it is something that they need to follow up with, I never get an answer. I sent in a maintenance request over a week ago because my refrigerator stopped working, and it took them 3 days to respond and by then I was out of town and was not available to move food from the old fridge to the new one so they didn’t do anything to fix it. I've called a few times to check on it, and of course no one answers. Literally all of my food in both my freezer and refrigerator is no longer good and I can not buy more, because I have no idea when they will be coming to replace it... really, don't waste your time with a company that doesn't give you the light of day.
Excellent Location
I have lived here for over 20 years. It is close to a bar and donut shop. Only four blocks from a grocery store and mall.
pretty good place
Love the area as close to everything I need, including family. Parking is only fair, as no matter what, you walk a ways. I live in the older section of the apartments and they haven't been kept up the best. Some kitchens date back to the 1970's, with poor cabinet space, repairs done not of the greatest quality for what one has to pay in monthly rent. New windows should be placed as current ones are quite drafty. It is a very quiet complex, residents kind and respectful. The grounds are nicely kept,it is a pet friendly community and they provide what is needed to take care of pet poop, but some residents evidently don't feel the rules pertain to them, but i have seen, on occasion, maintanence out there with a pooper scooper! They shouldn't have to do that.
