The Jefferson

Very nice and pleasant environment with very good potential for growth. People and tenants are nice and its in a prime location. Management should be more open for more opportunies for tenants and owners too though instead of only thinking of themselves as far as investment opportunities for tenants to thrive and prosper. This includes ideas with use of facility and different type of amenities that could be added and ran by tenants and owners in good standing.

It's ok, I hate the elevator system, the laundry system and simple things, you can't get answers. This is my 1st and last apartment living

I have lived in the Jefferson, formerly known as the Jeffersonian, for the past fourteen years, longer than I have lived anyplace else. I have a view of the magnificent downtown skyline, the amazing Detroit River, Windsor’s skyline and all the bridges connecting the two countries. It is a beautiful sight to see any time of the day but the nighttime view is spectacular. I can also see Belle Isle State Park from my forty-two feet long balcony. I have been entrusted by the residents to act as their president of the Tenant Council so this position has given me the awesome opportunity to get to know most of them. This continues to be a rewarding experience. Oftentimes, especially in a high-rise community, you don’t get to know your next door neighbor, let alone those neighbors throughout the entire building. Many friendships have been formed. In addition to meeting to discuss concerns of the building, we get together regularly to participate in social interactions. My position also allows me an opportunity to work closely with the property manager and other members of the management team. The property manager and I have a very good rapport. She is always open to discussing the needs of the residents with me and she, along with her staff and contractors, have made many improvements during their time here. There are are many fun activities provided by the staff for the residents Prior to Friedman Management and their property manager, Mariah Limmitt taking over the awesome task of running the Jefferson, we had to endure numerous management companies who did nothing to improve the living conditions of the residents. Along with making the necessary changes that they found, they were open to the many requests of the tenant council members. I am not going to to say that there is not absolute perfection here, no place is. But I will say that I enjoy coming to the comforts of the place I call home, my gem in the sky.

Cool views and large square footage. That’s about all the positives you can expect from this place. Don’t let the ground floor & show units fool you.

So far it's quiet and spacious. Can't wait to get to know my neighbors.
