Good Central Location

Overall, this is a nice place to live. I have been here about 10 years. The complex is located near just about all you need. I am 15 minutes form work if I drive, and about 25 by metro. I used to commute from Alexandria to NIH, and that was a haul getting back home. There is plenty of shopping and grocery stores close by. It has begun to be a bit busier in the area due to all the new construction but is still a walkable area. Having a washer and dryer in unit saves from having to haul to a laundromat. The floors are of a wood construction, so you will hear footsteps or creeks at times. The walls seem fairly dense, as I don't hear much of anything from my neighbors. They will have a gathering every once in a while, but they are respectful of the noise. The staff are very friendly, and repairs as they arise are taken care of pretty quickly. The complex is well-lit at night. Parking is good, unless there is an evening function at the pool, so you may need to go up a building to park, but I am closest to the pool. Rent to me is reasonable...not as reasonable as it used to be, but what complex in this area is. All the bases are covered as far as I am concerned. So, I am content.
