Great apartments!
We love Edgewood! The property is very clean and well maintainted. Noise is minimal. Neighbors and staff are friendly. Maintainence workers are responsive and quick to fix an issue. So far no complaints!
Luxury...not
It is so lovely to be awakened at 6:30 am by your upstair tenant (great idea to remove rugs and install floors) the sound of her walking around in her highheels is heartwarming. Then of course, you also know when they are showering, cleaning the lint tray on dryer, running the garbage disposal, washing machine running, dishwasher running. It gets better with people standing outside my 1st floor window within 2-3 feet and have their dog defecating as we are eating meals in the dining nook, you know luxury has no limits. My hallway has been painted two times in the last 3 years, but for some strange reason the door casings (which are chipped and worn) have not been painted. I have also recently noted that some of the screens in my apartment do not even fit properly. Snow removal is also very unacceptable, I never thought I would have to shovel out my car at 71 years of age, I have friends at other apts and they shovel the back and sides of the vehicles. Trash is also tough for seniors, you have to lug your trash to the car and then lug it out of car to receptacle. I also have constantly complained about the my toilet which is weird that it is grouted into floor, the grout wears away all the time and discolors, you know luxury...The dishwasher is antiquated and so loud you have to turn tv up. These appliances are 16 years old and should be updated. The maintenance workers are excellent here when help is needed. The grounds are kept beautifully and our buildings are cleaned faithfully once a week. I also can't understand why we can only have two guests (during the week) at the pool, most weekdays there isn't even 10 people there, weekends I can understand only two guests, but not during the week. Lastly, parking is pretty good, but visitors especially on holidays take over the tenants spots, and again trying to lug in groceries, christmas presents etc, and if it is snowy or icy, is dangerous for older tenants, I do not think staff addresses nor tows cars.
