Love the staff. Being on the flight line makes things noisy. Also, the windows not opening beyond a crack is not great + the blinds really don’t keep the light out at all

I just moved out of south standard and was very disappointed. While the front office staff are extremely friendly and helpful (Brianna & Jaason), it is clear that the building was made cheaply and with many corners cut. The biggest problem is the AC. It is extremely weak and freezes when put below 72 degrees, leaving your unit without cold air for days at a time while the system thaws. In my year residence, our AC froze 10+ times. This issue is building-wide and affects lots of units. Internal building maintenance insists this is normal, it is not. After speaking with an HVAC sub contractor who came to look at the unit, he confirmed this is not normal, and that this problem will most likely never go away - It is a product of corner cutting from the construction. In addition: my toilet was not installed upon move in, dumpsters slam from 4am-7am almost daily, the floor was pulling up in multiple spots, windows not opening and closing, and more. Given the high cost of rent, it was a serious disappointment and these issues among others caused us to move out. I do not recommend moving into south standard.

The building is lovely, the staff is excellent, and they hold many fun and generous events for residents. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
