Rent to high

My experience living here since Dec. 2021 hasn’t been very pleasant. We’ve had to deal with multiple leaks, a host of mold issues and other problems throughout the complex like outside leaks, plumbing issues and structural issues. It seems like there’s some kind of construction going on every month due to problems that need to be fixed. But yet this is the 2nd or 3rd time now since I’ve been here that the rent is being raised?! Now why is that? For a 2BR here in Van Nuys that’s grossly excessive and expensive in my opinion. Lastly…. The fact that I’m not allowed to have a small barbecue on my balcony where I can grill is absolutely ridiculous. I would love to feed my family something different at dinner, then always having to use a stove that barely works. I’m a responsible adult with a partner and 2 kids but we’re not allowed to have a grill outside. Please change that so residents can barbecue.

A Great Place to Live

We have lived here for a couple years now and this has been the best place we've lived thus far. Rent does increase each year, which is the case for any place. The management is very responsive and informative. The building is well maintained (sometimes different areas of the building are off limits due to maintenance which can be inconvenient, but overall very worth it for maintaining a clean building). The size of the apartments is also very nice. We're in a one bedroom and the size for cost is not bad. Overall a great experience living here! When we plan to upgrade, we are highly considering moving to a two-bedroom unit in the building.
