Friendly neighborhood
I have lived here over 10 years and feel close to my community. Neighbors look out for each other and there is a sense of safety in that. Most I talk to also keep in close contact with the Presidio staff for supportive services. Connection, Safety and low hassled living are the upside of life in the Presidio.
Good for quiet nights in
The presidio is like living in the burbs, but you're still on the SF side of the bridges. It's not great for going out at night, or walking everywhere if you're on a tight schedule but on the flip side it's good for work from homers who don't need fast internet, and good for quiet nights in, hearing hooting owls and coyotes. It's pretty, and the trust does a pretty good job maintaining trails and roads.
Serenity In San Francisco
Living in the Presidio for four years now, I have come to appreciate the security it offers, the openness to nature, and for the most part, the serenity. The sense of feel is like living in a gated community. The unit is renovated. Though it has new finishes, they are only mid-end appliances and finishes. Overall, living in the Presidio is a wonderful experience not found anywhere else in San Francisco or the Bay Area.
Life is good in the Presidio
We have lived in the Presidio in 3 different units for the past 22 years, and we never want to leave. We have great neighbors, easy access to nature, and the folx in both the leasing office and the maintenance crew are friendly, professional, and get stuff done! We love it here.
