peaceful place

I have been living here for 2 years and I am thankful for the peaceful place with trees and plants all around. I can sleep so well at night because it's very quiet and I can prepare for my next workday. When you have a long day at work, you can sit by the pool and just relax, go for a walk, go swimming, and exercise. I have met amazing neighbors very friendly, nice and respectful. Maintenance very helpful to take care of the needs in your home. I would recommend to a friend to come and move into the apartments at Rancho Los Feliz

Most beautiful property in LA, some things need improving.

I have lived here for 30 years. I stay here because of the utter beauty of the property itself. The palm trees, eucalyptus, bamboo, birds of paradise, ferns, foliage are a delight to the eye. No high priced resort has a more beautiful pool area. Both the staff and the maintenance crew are some of the nicest and most competent people you will ever meet. Especially the maintenance crew. However, there are four main frustrations. 1)The pool is supposed to be heated, and sometimes it is, but most of the time the water is ice cold. 2) In the past, the office accepted packages and then alerted the appropriate resident when they had a package. No more. As a result the mail room is crowded with packages strewn about without any order (there are over 200 residents). When maintenance has the time, they deliver the packages to the residents door, but they do not always have the time, and it is not their job. 3) There is an idiotic policy of locking the back door of the lobby, which forces tenants who are emerging from the freezing swimming pool to walk way around to the front door of the lobby to access the bathrooms and and sauna. Dripping water as they go. This is a safety hazard, a fire hazard, and a liability for Ring Bros. This wouldn't be a problem if the back door were unlocked as it has been for the last 30 years. 4)The fireplace in the lobby no longer works, despite promises it would be fixed. That was two months ago. And then there is the exterior decor: Orange and turquoise (!!?) Residents refer to it as "the Jetsons", "Section 8 housing" and "Peewee's Playhouse" interior decoration. Ah, but the natural beauty of Rancho Los Feliz cannot be wrecked no matter how hard you try.
