Good place bad staff

I've lived in this apartment for 5 years. In that time, every experience with the apartment manager has been combative and accusational. They have lied to me about when they would be in my apartment on at least 2 occasions, and they have threatened to revoke my pet privileges in written warnings following most of my quarterly apartment inspections. The apartment itself is good for my location, affordable, and relatively well maintained, but dealing with management has been extremely unpleasant.

Moberly Manor Review

I am a Long Term Resident (LTR) going on twelve(12) years. Unfortunately, it seems as though Corporate has no clue as to how to take care of residents when we have a "snow event". I can bet my Walmart paycheck that each and everyone at Lindsey Home Office did not have their vehicles stuck in their driveways when it snowed. They were able to clean their driveways and leave. We (I) my car got stuck at the entrance to our community last year because NOONE FROM LINDSEY thought it would be a good idea to ensure its residents were not snowed in their parking lots. Did anyone think that there are elderly and handicapped residents that need to go get their medicines, Dr. appointments or go to the grocery store? No...... There needs to be a shift in the backwards thinking about cleaning the parking lots and allowing residents to be able to leave their apartments during a snow-event. Get rid of the mindset about being sued if someone slips on ice and snow. Are you aware that I personally had to salt and clean the steps and sidewalks at my building so folks could get to their cars without slipping and falling on ICED OVER STEPS and SIDEWALKS? Its pitiful that as much money Lindsey obtains from rent here at Moberly Manor, nobody cares to clean the parking areas and parking lots based on some antiquated thinking about being sued. I bet new communities springing up in Bentonville will take care of their residents during a snow-event. My question to Lindsey is why can't you take the lead and PROVE you care about your residents. Now I hope I am wrong here, but I am expecting the same old tired excuse of its a Arkansas law not to clean steps and all that stupidity. Take the lead and prove me wrong. How hard is that....???

Hope to never do business again

These places are cheap with a decent location, which is great, but that's where the good ends. When I first moved in two years ago, it seemed as though someone from management watched outside my apartment everyday. I saw her repeatedly watching from her car in the mornings. The day she decided to park next to my car and I walked by, the behavior stopped but she called that day to report an issue she required me to fix. When you move out, you will be charged excessively for unnecessary work or issues that were not your fault, such as: * Painting the entire apartment -- trim, doors, cabinet, ceiling -- to cover one wall. * Light bulbs. Standard bulbs pop frequently and they do not replace them for you. * $30 dollars for a "bag of trash" * Repairs to anything that you didn't note when moving in. Advice: 1) Be meticulous when inspecting the apartment upon moving in and require fixes to anything, regardless of how minor it may seem. 2) Document and report any issues that may occur outside of your control (e.g. vibrations from built-in appliances damaging counters, bulbs bursting too frequently, etc.). 3) Be financially prepared to lose your deposit and pay up to an additional $1000 at the end of your lease. I'd say repaint it yourself because it's a quick job, but I believe they'd likely just repaint and charge you $300 regardless.
