San Antonio’s Rental Market Moving on Up: Feast your Eyes on 2015’s 10 Largest Developments
San Antonio’s vibrant urban core is just getting better with the years. The Alamo City has seen quite a transformation recently, with major residential developments joining Class A office towers, cultural landmarks, and reinvented urban parks (Hemisfair, anyone?) in taking the city to a whole new level.
San Antonio has become the “place to be” for those in search of the best in education, jobs, and affordable lifestyles. It’s no surprise then that the rental market is firing on all cylinders as well. From students attending the University of Texas at San Antonio, to military families, and young professionals looking for their big breaks in business and financial services, everybody wants a piece of San Antonio’s rental pie.
Determined to cash in on the increased demand for apartment living, developers have amped up their game in recent years and started delivering more rental options to the city’s hungry housing market. In 2015, a total of 16 apartment communities of 50+ units were completed in San Antonio, providing no less than 4,327 new rental units, according to data from Yardi Matrix. 2014 was an even better year for new deliveries, with a total of 5,704 apartments having been added to the city’s rental inventory.
More than just your regular apartment complex, these communities strive to deliver an improved renting experience, with premier living spaces and top-notch amenities. Want to see what’s special about them, maybe even find your new home at a luxurious compound such as the Wiregrass at Stone Oak?
