Valo Apartments in SW D.C. feature modern amenities, a prime location, and well-designed units. Management is attentive, enhancing a strong community vibe.

I have lived here for over a year and it's really hard to beat the location, square footage, and price in the area. Just a 10 minute walk to either the Navy Yard or the Wharf, but not paying the price to live in those areas. I have never had an issue with maintenance, staff, or the amenities. The gym is the only disappointment, but I have friends' gyms I can go use. Happily plan on renewing my lease.

Clean property. Great amenities. Caring staff. Awesome location. Right next to metro, wharf, and grocery.

    4.5/5 Bridget S. on Apr 3, 2024

301 M has been the best apartment building to live in! The staff are super kind, the gym is great, the rooftop is so beautiful and clean, and the location is unmatched, with a metro station and a grocery store on the same block. I moved from across the country two years ago and I didnt take the time to come to DC to find an apartment. Luckily, I found 301 M, applied, and got the lease the next day, and when I drove all the way to DC months later, it was exactly as it was described. The maintenance staff are quick and timely, the parking is so secure, and there is even a Chase ATM right downstairs. I truly love living here and have continued to renew my lease over and over again because I have no reason to leave!

Finding the efficiency apartment that fits your every need, however, can be challenging even if you know Waterfront Washington, Washington, DC like the palm of your hand. Admit it, you too have at least one item on your wishlist that you just can’t let go. Whether it’s the community pool, the on-site gym, or just a fair price, you can go crazy with RentCafe’s price, location and amenities filters and you’ll have no problem pinpointing the small apartment of your dreams.

Not all efficiency apartments are created equal

The average rent for one-room apartments in Waterfront Washington, Washington, DC, is currently $2,535, but it’s good to know (especially if you’re on a budget) that you can go as low as $1,805. At the lower end of the price range you’re most likely to find the kind of bachelor flat that has almost everything in one space (apart from the bathroom), even the kitchen is in the main room. This, while sounds bad, is not the end of the world at all—a cleverly placed bookshelf or other piece of furniture can act as an excellent room divider and can do wonders with a one room apartment. If you prefer the “factory-made” solution, though, aim for the higher end of the price range and go for a floor plan with a separate kitchen, and you’ll have one less thing to worry about. The most expensive studio in Waterfront Washington, Washington, DC currently asks a monthly $8,058.
