Read some helpful reviews of SecureSpace Self Storage at 3116 NE 130th Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

1. They say they're climate controlled but they aren't really. I've spent hrs in the storage unit and in the winter I still often have to wear my jacket 2. They 'expanded hrs' but no manager is on site nor does the access code let me in DURING LISTED OPEN HOURS ON GOOGLE AND AS MENTIONED BY A MANAGER TO ME DIRECTLY THAT THEY WOULD BE OPEN DURING THOSE SAID Hours. False advertisement of open hours. 3. Have no emergency code or maintenance person to help when needed 4. Raised the rent by $60 out of no where 5. During the entire time I've been writing this review, I've been on the phone waiting with an automated voice stating 'there are currently zero callers ahead of you..... Please remain on the line for the next available agent' and I waited 11+ mins Soon after posting, the company responded with a request to email them. This is just for show to the public. I WAS SHARING MY EXPERIENCE LIVE TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE EMAIL AND THEIR HOTLINE OVER THE PHONE AS I WAS GOING THROUGH MY THE EXPERIENCE OF TRYING TO ACCESS THE UNIT ON THE TWO DAYS I ATTEMPTED TO DURING ACCESS HOURS. I attached photos and videos, and call logs to their hotline service to these emails I've sent. I shared my experience, thoughts, recommendations, and compliant while I was at the unit during both instances, the very day and times it occurred. The representatives on their hotline confirmed it was access hours and profusely apologized that they could not do anything. It was an emergency and an apology is just not enough when access is needed during their stated and advertised access hours. Had they done they're job adequately, they would know the concerns were already sent via writing in email and over the phone. There is so much disconnect and inconsistency in their operations. ... Employees are great. Their scheduling is terrible however. This was my third time having to wait while the team was out/at lunch. Again, NOT their fault, but whoever makes the schedule. This time it was on a weekend and there were 3 separate cars with people on the last day of the month - generally the most predictable, busiest times. ... Read more

I was in a huge hurry and came in, and I believe it was Melissa who was working. She was amazing and so sweet and very diligent with all of the paperwork and helping me get the right unit that I needed. The process was quick and painless she was such a blessing. I highly recommend this storage. It’s easy but safe access and wonderful people that work there. I forget who the gentleman‘s name was that works on the weekends, but I had a few questions I forgot to ask and he was super helpful and polite. Love this place! ... Read more

I’ve had an excellent experience with this company! Front office , customer service skills, were professional and customer oriented. Very clean facility, I felt safe in their facility when reorganizing, and felt my belongings were never at risk of theft or vandalism . Well run organization. I would Definitely return as needed , to a place I trust and always enjoy a little friendly banter! I’d give them more stars if I could. Above and beyond! Thanks Everyone ??. Patricia ... Read more

Rent doubled in three months, then tripled after twelve. "Industry-standard" bait-and-switch pricing model designed for an age where people "forget about subscriptions," courtesy of the private equity that purchased the property and painted it white. The rate for a 3x5 unit after 1 year is eight times (that's right, 800%) the advertised rate on the website. $5/square foot/month is more expensive than a luxury apartment, and this is a storage locker with a handmade plywood door. Don't reward their predatory business model and try a locally owned competitor instead. Staff here are excellent and work hard, no issues with them. ... Read more

Do not rent from this atrocious facility. 1) Kimberley is an absolute nightmare of a manager. Incredibly rude, unhelpful, unprofessional, and on most nights leaves 2-3 hours early, even though the facility has a "manager on duty" until 8pm. 2) The facility is old and awful. The north building has an elevator that is frequently broken and incredibly slow. You are nonsensically not _allowed_ to use the stairs, even though there is a separate, non-emergency, non-alarmed door in the interior of the building leading to the stairwall. You know, like every single multistory apartment building you've ever been in... So if the elevator is not working, you lose access to your unit. You do not get money back. I have been to the facility 7-8 times now and for one reason or another, I have not been able to access my unit on three different occasions. Want to make a waste of a trip 25-30% of the time you want to access your unit, and have to deal with one of the rudest managers in Seattle? Rent here. ... Read more

Hisham is amazing! Very helpful and friendly! My small unit started at 70$ 13 months later 130$ I month to month so beware. Elevator worked most of the times I came here. Little shaky and I wouldn't feel safe if I was alone and a small person. But it's a storage place. ... Read more

If you’re being helped by Hisham, know that you are in good hands! My family and I came in the morning and he helped me set up my account quickly and helped us decide how big of a space we needed. When we came back in the afternoon we could tell he remembered us and got us to our storage unit swiftly. The entire time his customer service was excellent. I definitely feel safe with my storage there. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecureSpace Self Storage - 3116 NE 130th Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 15 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecureSpace Self Storage - 3116 NE 130th Street start from $12 and can go up to $203 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
