Read some helpful reviews of West Coast Self-Storage at 16523 Aurora Avenue North, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

It’s a storage place so the bar is low…..but this place has some major pains. First off: the staff is great. Super professional and kind. Now for the bad stuff: - it’s NOT 24 hour access (I want access all the time) - no dumpsters for getting rid of stuff The elevators are small, the code you enter has a delay and you have to use it in a specific order after calling the elevator which means you can miss the elevator. (Nightmare if multiple people need the elevator) - the carts to transport stuff are one size and too small. - you are required to purchase their locks. Overall design is trash, and the access restrictions make it worth you go somewhere else. ... Read more

Just rented a unit here. It’s clean, temperature controlled, has good lighting and excellent security measures. Easy access for small moving trucks and cars. Dave was friendly, helpful and made the rental process easy and clear. Definitely feels like the right choice over close by and slightly cheaper options. ... Read more

Hi, my name is Courtney. I reserved a unit on line, two weeks ago. Dave called me the same day, helped me get my unit reserved. When the day came for me to pick up keys and I was unable, he held my unit for another day. He had called me the day I was supposed to check in, and was super kind about me not getting there until the next day. The day that ai did gi ro pick up keys and sign contract, I was coming from work, with t4qffic I didnt arrive until 5:55. He spent the next 40 mins helping me get the contract filled out, a tour of the building how to work the elevator, telling me about all the security they have in place, which gave me a piece of mind and showed me how to use the gates. Dave was absolutely awesome. He took his time to explain everything I needed to know, and didnt make me feel like a terrible person for keeping him late. The building is kept very clean, and my unit if perfect for my needs. I highly recommend West Coast Self Storage in Shoreline. ... Read more

The man at the counter was very helpful, he showed me several units, knew I was going to take one and then told me of a great discount that he could have kept to himself. The building was clean and organized and I was very impressed ... Read more

Everyone I have interacted with at the Shoreline, WA location has been great. Most recently, Dave helped me with getting an additional unit. Friendly and knowledgeable as always. If you have ever rented from the one orange storage company, then you will know that you often talk to a different person every time and no one is ever in the office. I have never had this experience at WSS. The staff seem to stay long term. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at West Coast Self-Storage - 16523 Aurora Avenue North include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by West Coast Self-Storage - 16523 Aurora Avenue North start from $50 and can go up to $434 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
