Read some helpful reviews of Northwest Self Storage at 3550 West 11th Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU RENT! I rarely leave bad reviews but but this place is an exception. This place is awful - I do not recommend renting at this storage facility. Over the course of 2 years my rent doubled since you're at their mercy once you move your heavy stuff in. I had items stolen from my unit through an opening between units – the tops of the units are not fully enclosed, so others can access your space. Had my stuff destroyed by mice from a neighboring unit since the neighbor had dogs food in there. At one point, there were homeless individuals living in a neighboring unit around Christmas time, smoking pot. There was also a recurring problem with human feces being left in front of the units. I have since moved my belongings to a different facility, and the experience has been much better. Carefully weigh your options before committing to this place. ... Read more

Came in and needed a small unit in between moves. Melissa helped me with the different unit choices, gave me tours of the units and security features such as fences, gated locked entry. She even hooked me up with a 59% off discount for my 1st. She mad the whole process super easy. In + out in about 20 minutes. Thanks again! ... Read more

I needed a storage unit for a month while I was moving between places and they offered a great deal of a 4x9 unit for $70. Melissa is very friendly and helpful and made the move in process very easy! The only awkward part of the location is the left turn if you are driving down W 11th, but there are some areas to turn around to make it easier. The storage unit was pretty clean when I first accessed it and its a pretty secure location. ... Read more

?????????? I've had my belongings stored at NSA Storage for the past year, and I have nothing but good things to say. The facility is super clean, well-maintained, and hassle-free. What really sets this place apart is the staff — always friendly and professional. A special shoutout to Melissa Bailey, the property manager — she’s amazing. Not only is she always polite and helpful, but she remembered my name (which isn’t the easiest), and that small gesture always made me feel welcomed and valued. If I ever owned my own business, she'd be the kind of employee I’d want representing it. Highly recommend NSA Storage — it’s a great place and run the right way. ... Read more

If you need a storage unit.....This IS the place. The people that I met with certainly treated me like family. I have lived several states and have been in customer service for years and they will blow your mind on the customer service that they provide. I cannot say enough about how they treated me. I have been a tenant on West 11th NWStorage since 2021. I was renting a 5x10, unfortunately my stuff grew and I needed to move to a bigger unit...the manager Melissa Bailey was extremely helpful and courteous while I was deciding on which size to upgrade to. When I went in on Thursday, March 27, to see if there would be a larger unit to move into she told me which ones were available and even showed me the unit I transferred to...she even gave me an extra day to move my stuff from the original unit to the new one...all I have to say is that Melissa is very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable...she understands that sometimes people have life situations come up and she is willing to work with you to come up with a solid plan to rectify the situation...on top of that the entire staff is always cheerful friendly and helpful... ... My first experience at Northwest Self Storage was fantastic. Bren was incredibly helpful, thorough and gave great recommendations. Also, the speed at which the process was completed was very quick. The location is very secure with the office located behind the locked gate. I look forward to renting from NSS currently and when I need great assistance in the future! ... Read more

They raised our rent one month after we moved in. When I originally rented the unit I asked them to email me an invoice every month when the rent was due and they said that would not be a problem. They sent me the invoice one time and everytime I would pay my bill I would ask again for an invoice and I never was able to get them to send me one before the bill was due, this resulted in late fees. For a few months I was unable to actually speak to a real person when I would call. The staff seems to have a very high turnover rate and the company seems to want to do everything they can to over charge you. Overall would not recommend. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Northwest Self Storage - 3550 West 11th Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 32 to 260 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Northwest Self Storage - 3550 West 11th Avenue start from $73 and can go up to $336 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
