What a joke. The person I was working with thought her abilities were so precious, she's "the only one who does parking," because apparently it's so difficult, & it would take a half-hour special appointment on a different day to accomplish setting up my rental. Mostly I think she was upset that she'd been undercut by SpareFoot by 25 dollars a month for that very space, but that's another story. So on the day of move-in I called because I was having trouble with getting a ride back from dropping off my car. She tells me that if I get there 15 minutes before closing, it's not *nearly* enough time to sign a few papers & get me a passcode so that I can move in. So I said ok cancel me, went to ExtraSpace Storage, walked in off the street, had all the forms filled out and my car parked in 10 minutes. And it was cheaper, and the people at ESS were very nice, unlike this lady who was extraordinarily rude. Even the people at SpareFoot were nicer & more accommodating. This person needs a serious attitude adjustment. Checking people in to parking spaces is just not that hard. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at AAA Self Storage - 979 Guilford College Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
