Lived here for 8 years, Cheap, great location, poor landlord

Lived here for 8 years. It is cheap ($700 as of Jan23) and the location is great (easy access to many things, buses, etc) and safe. Great place for UWM students. But the manager Ogden is slow to fix things, like very slow. There were few tenants with smoking issues too. Overall, it is a good deal for the bucket but keep that it mind that there is always a trade-off when it comes to student budget friendly apartments. I'd suggest to go with the second floor units. It also have huge basements for units located on the Ardmore Ave side.

It’s an ok place

I’ve lived here 10 years, after I moved in and cleaned the place up it was habitable. Then Ogden took over Management of the property, and for awhile it was fine, but now it’s going downhill, and Ogden keeps jacking up the rent and making tenants pay for utilities that had previously been included.

Great Location, late maintenance service

We have lived in this building for over 7 years. The access to the lake and grocery stores and restaurants is great. Shorewood is a decent, clean and quiet neighborhood. These are all great values for us to live in this building. However, the building itself is old and needs many maintenance services. Despite the fact that we may need emergency assistance when the water is broken or basement has an issue, it is hard to get a hold of someone in Ogden office and they usually offer the service after several follow-up. Some of our neighbors are smoking inside their apartments all the time and although we reported that to the management, they have not done much to keep the buildings smoke-free.

No re signing lease

The staff with Ogden is some of the worst customer service me and my mother have every received. I rented in my city for years and I have never had this many issue. I wouldn't recommend the unit or the company to anyone. Too may issue for the price, expected more considering the area. I have email threads of how we have been treated in the short time I've been here. If I could have gotten out of the lease I totally would have loved to use my money else where.

Poor maintenance

The Admore Terrace apartments are usually very cold and Ogden maintenance is poor. For example, I have asked them two weeks ago (both left a message and sent an email) to come and fix our sink disposer, but no one has even reached me out to see what it is going on. Their maintenance is really poor and unresponsive. I am saying this because I have lived two of these units for over 5 years and have seen enough of slow action...
