nice amenities and location - great value!

Have enjoyed living at the Penny for a few years now - it's a great location with some truly excellent bars/restaurants in walking distance, as well as activities like First Fridays. Public transportation to other popular RVA spots makes it easy to go light on driving too. Maintenance requests and admin staff are very responsive as well

Great apartment and building if you can afford it

Clean and modern with sleek finishes, this building was constructed around 2019-2020 so it is basically a new build. The staff is lovely and super friendly. The entryway is always clean, well-lit, and stylish. Overall I have been more than happy to call this apartment home for the last 4 years and wouldn't choose anywhere else in the Jackson Ward around this price point.

Average not luxury.

Great area downtown. Apartments are over priced. Sometimes it feels like a college dorm or random vacation resort. Interiors are avg but everything is cheaply done; from paint that scuffs if you bump the wall to low end stainless steel appliances that don’t clean your dishes.

Meets my expectations

The Penny is in a great location. Maintenance staff is very responsive. Office staff seems to constantly change and I wish the appliances were a bit more updated for the rent amount. Overall, it’s a decent apartment.
