Why Renters Love It Here
Needs improvement
Stressful. Nothing comes without a fight with the management company. The thing about renting is so that you don’t have to worry about fixing the things that break. The company that owns this property doesn’t want to fix anything. But that’s what I pay my rent for. This needs to be improved upon. Everything seems to be fixed with tape and glue and strings. Things should be replaced with brand new item not used or partially broken. The rent is a good deal, but not if I have to live with crappy drawers and amenities and light fixtures and carpet and cabinets and stove.
Update
Happy to have a home to come to after a long day of work. Could things be better, yes, but I like to live humbly. I would like to see better response and service from maintenance. Thank you
Needs improvement
Leasing staff is nonexistent. They never return your call if you leave a message. They never answer the phone. Never. Property owner extremely hard to reach. Maintenance does sloppy work and attempts to rig things rather than fix them and it takes time for them to get out to you to fix your maintenance request. More than the average time based on other places I have left. It needs improvement. There is an on-call emergency number for Maintenance but no one ever answers it and no one ever called you back. The emergency line should always be answered. The first year I lived here the apartment right next-door to me, caught on fire. Luckily, no one was hurt and everything was fine, but nobody from the leasing office and nobody from the ownership team contacted anybody that lived out here to see if everybody was OK does anybody need anything etc. It was just shocking to me that there was no care whatsoever for the tenants who experience this fire. I will say that I love the location. I love my little apartment I like my neighbors. So the only negative thing I have to say is the leasing staff, the leader ship team, which are the owners and the maintenance. All of these things need major improvement in order for me to stay here. This could be such a great place, and will last forever if it was taken care of properly, if the people were taken care of properly. It’s a very sad situation in my opinion.
A Calm Affordable Community
I've been a resident at Chateau Grove for around five years now. It's a tranquil community that caters to a diverse range of residents, both young and old. Throughout my time here, I've found the neighbors to be consistently friendly, and the overall environment is usually peaceful, except for the occasional Friday night football party. From replacing a breaker to mending a burst pipe, management and maintenance has always been willing to help out. However, there are a few things that could use improvement. The building and amenities have a dated feel, with aging bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Additionally, the detached coin-operated laundry facility located in the rear of the complex is rather pricey, making it impractical for regular use. I would recommend visiting the local laundromat instead, as it may be less convenient but will save you enough money for a nice dinner or two every month. On the positive side, the availability of covered parking for residents has been a saving grace, especially during the recent hail storms we've experienced over the past few years. However, the parking lot can be quite narrow, and some residents tend to park along the back of the building, which can make it challenging to access your designated parking spot at times. One recurring issue worth mentioning is the situation with the trash cans not being brought in from the curb. This appears to be an ongoing problem, leading to a weekly pile-up of trash on the side of the building where the trash cans are meant to be stored that spills into the driveway at times. In summary, Chateau Grove offers a friendly, peaceful, affordable community in Alamo Heights, but it does have its drawbacks, such as dated amenities and inconvenient laundry facilities.
very happy
my family feels very safe and the service is excellent
