Boardwalk at Mercer

Great apartments and space for 1-2 people. It's in a nice area with plenty of amenities, but the apartments are older so the quality is a little lower in terms of wear and tear.

Could be better

Positives: 1. Maintenance crew is timely and reach reasonable solutions to service requests by the end of the day. 2. Trash valet is timely and collect even the boxes you put out. 3. The interior of the apartment is fine and mostly as described 4. Amenities are ok(gym and pool except that grills are chained up) 5) Never had a roach problem but then again I live on the 3rd floor. Negatives: 1. no elevators so if you live on the 3rd floor your moving process and grocery runs will be a pain 2. Trash valet can do sloppy jobs and leave residue on stairs, concrete and sidewalks which rots and leaves the complex smelling bad. Don’t only focus on the smell but the stains residue leaves in the once pale concrete. Make sure you watch where you step. 3. You cannot reach anyone at the leasing office by phone since you are always redirected to a third party offsite office. They cannot really assist with complaints you have as they only are equipped to answer questions about floorplans and pricing. 4. Living here means you will have to coexist with smokers who sometimes have no courtesy and smoke in the halls since these are technically outdoors. There are no non smoking signs even though the lease states this a non smoking facility. I’ve contacted Eileen to no avail on this. 5. Dog owners do not pick up their dog poop on sidewalks or on mow strip patches of grass. Once I found dog poop in the outside gym part that is turf which made using the sled inconvenient. 6)Gates rarely work(I get some get break but its so often that we need to question why) and the guest parking situation is horrid with limited guest passes. I recommend to do away with it. My own brother is afraid to visit because he doesn’t trust the online system 7) pool is closed at times throughout the year due to broken glass 8) mail room printer has been removed and likely will not make a return.
