Building has a roach problem (both within the units and in the laundry room) and is not very well maintained -- musty smelling and stained carpets, the building front door being out of service for 10 months, warnings from the alarm system (near the mailboxes) regarding electrical/smoke detector issues that rang for days at a time and were audible within the units themselves. Staff member who toured the apartment with me and got me to sign the lease told me all utilities were included, but I ended up having to pay electric bill separate from rent (usually $70 or so, more in summer months). Very convenient location to both the medical center and Vanderbilt itself, though. You will not get your full security deposit back as they will attempt to illegally charge you for basic between-tenant cleaning and normal wear and tear.

Probably the cheapest apartments you'll find within walking distance of VUMC, and for good reason. Management is OK but a good amount of turnover and you have to follow up with them multiple times about seemingly very simple things.

Parking spaces should be immediately redrawn so they are clear and legible.

Walkable to restaurants, shops, hospitals, and universities. Also on the bus routes to downtown so very accessible. Gets loud with people walking by and parking in the commercial parking lot next door. Needs security camera installed in rear of the building for resident parking.

Nice Apartment is good location near downtown.
