Oxbow Park Apartments

I have lived here for 6 years now. I never thought I’d be happy living in an apartment, but overall have been pleased with it and I do enjoy my individual apartment. The rent increase this past lease surprised me, though, and I have wondered if it was time to look elsewhere. Most other facilities have amenities such as a pool, workout center and community room. The staff here have been friendly and professional. The general maintenance has been good, Cory is awesome—he knows his stuff, and I know he has been very busy. However, I have been disappointed in the grounds the last few years, (since Elevate took over the management?) The grass doesn’t get watered so becomes dry, brown and patchy. Every edge on the garages and down spouts are dented and with chipping paint. The carpet in the (my) hallway are aging and fraying some at the entry. Perhaps all this is simply the case of apartment living, but especially with rent increase, I would hope the presentation would be improved.

As someone not familiar with Sioux Falls, I relied on Google maps and internet pictures to find an apartment when I moved here. With Oxbow Park, I have an affordable, spacious, safe, and incredibly convenient apartment. Maintenance is prompt and always helpful, and the staff greet me by name and truly make me feel welcomed. I cannot say enough good things about this apartment complex! Plus, restaurants, grocery stores, ice cream, trails are all within walking distance if you don't mind a 1-2 mile walk. Highly recommend!

Too many issues to list. The apartment itself made everyone in my family extremely ill. Parking lot turns into a ice rink in the winter. Dogs barking all day or racing above you like a train barreling through. Worst experience by far and went back on their word after we gave doctor's notice to break lease because of the way the apartment was affecting our health. Charged us an extra 900+ after telling us we only had to pay last month rent with 30 day notice. DO NOT RECCOMEND. Will be taking property to court.
