City Center Apartments

I've lived at City Center Apartments just over five years and find it is much better than my previous apartment in Minneapolis for a retired person like I am. The fire protection is much better here as there is a sprinkler system and an emergency button in the apartment. I love that the location is so close to Falls Park's waterfalls and it's a great place to take a walk most times of the year. We are also near Philips Avenue, a good place to go shopping. Maintenance has been great in our building. There are concerts in the summer a block away from the Levitt at the Falls, and there are excellent restaurants nearby catering to almost very taste.

It's OK. They keep raising the rent and taking what few amenities away.

It was a wonderful place to live for the first two years. Things changed with the new ownership. My rent has increased over the last 2 years. There are people that repeatedly smoke in their apartments that have been reported and nothing has been done to correct this. The carpets in the hallways are filthy. The outside windows haven’t been washed for at least 3 years. The sidewalks to the back of the building have been buckling and are uneven. There are several people that have their walkers catch on them. I had the grocery cart tip over when hitting the bumps. The handicap isle is the same way. This had been brought to the attention of several property managers and we were told it would be fixed. We disbanded our resident council which i was the president for 4 years because our concerns were mainly dismissed.

I am just disappointed that some of the small things like bingo prizes for example which the residents enjoy are no longer paid for by the facility. I buy them. Otherwise this is a nice place to live!

I am very pleased living in this place. It is very well kept and now has great management and maintenance.

I like it but rent increases in this last year is too much.
