Ora

I’m posting this specifically for anyone considering Apartment #616 at Ora Hackensack. We have dealt with ongoing noise from the apartment above us throughout our tenancy, including heavy footsteps, running, impact noise, crying, and other disturbances. This happens approximately 3–4 times a week, including around 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM, and I have multiple videos documenting it. We reported the issue to management many times and provided recordings. Management contacted the upstairs residents and discussed the rug/floor-covering requirements, but unfortunately the noise problem has continued. We were also offered the option to transfer to another community. A July 2 email stated that a $1,000 transfer fee and 30 days’ notice would apply. After we moved forward with applying to Vermella, we were later told that we would also have to repay our lease concession/free-rent benefit. I have the emails showing both communications. I can’t fit the full story here, so if you are considering Ora Hackensack, especially Unit 616, please look up my Google review for Ora Hackensack. As of now, we are still being affected by the noise, and with our lease ending in December, we feel we have no realistic choice but to continue dealing with it until the lease ends. Please do your research before renting Unit 616.
