Luxury prices for antique apartment

2 years here and I can't wait for my lease to expire. Rent is astronomical for a very old apartment with what looks to be 20+ years on the carpets, cabinets and drawers that appear to be made by the lowest bidder at the time, and the most inconsiderate neighbors I've ever had. There are cars that absolutely fly through the parking lots, other cars with the loudest exhausts who continually rev their engines at all hours of the night as they drive back and forth, and forth and back through the parking lot, with a generous helping of loud, drunken college-style parties between 2 buildings that go until 3am. At least most of the people are very generous, they will usually let you hear their car horn, or share their music with you, hopefully you like loud bass. In summary, the higher the rent goes (and it's at $1300+ now!), the more the atmosphere deteriorates. I've been in this area for over 20 years and Colony Square always had a good reputation, but that changed at some point. Now I wouldn't renew my lease if the rent were cut in half.
