Meadowbrook Apartments

I lived here for a year and these apartments are a mixed bag leaning more negative. The onsite maintenance guy was always helpful and friendly, and the apartments themselves aren’t bad considering their age and facelift. That said, for the money, they really aren’t worth it. The walls and floors are thin, you can hear people above you walking around and creaking the floors. I get that shared walls are part of apartment living, but when you can get a newer duplex or a house in this town for the same price or cheaper, it’s definitely a complaint. Also, don’t count on the pool. Both summers I was there they said it was being worked on, but it never opened. My main complaint is management. After the staff changes, you basically can’t get in touch with them. I tried calling their listed numbers, showing up at the office, and leaving messages, nothing. Even when routed to the main IronDoor line, it was 50/50 whether anyone picked up. The weird part is sometimes the main line guy would say my property managers told him about my issue, but they never called me back so they know that residents had issues but didn't act on them for some reason. I did talk to the main manager once and she was pleasant, but getting anything resolved has been a nightmare. Move-out was bad. I chased them for 2-3 weeks to sort out my moveout, and now, months later, I still haven’t received my deposit. Instead, I was told I owed $500 for $1000 worth of painting, which makes no sense since I patched and smoothed everything per instructions when I moved in and I didn’t damage the walls. I can’t even check my account anymore to see what they claim was damaged. Honestly, IronDoor needs more staff or to put someone back on-site, because I’ve spoken to other tenants with the same issues. Bottom line: there are better deals in better locations. If you move in, don’t expect the pool and when moving out, contact them at least two months in advance and photo everything in the unit before and after moving.

I love living here. It's quiet and love the location.

This is a decent apartment complex. It has the necessities could be better though.
