I've been here for 8 years this November, the second longest tenure in my building unit. I've been apart of all of the management and ownership shuffles. Its a nice community, quiet and pretty well cared for. I do not like that the pool has been closed that entire time, promising each summer to be open. I do not like the responsiveness of maintenance who often close work orders without completing work. I do not like that I have to beg for service with the amount I have paid in rent these last 8 years (~$220K). Still begging for a replacement kitchen floor, replacement interior doors and other simple service tasks. The gym is nice, the staff is friendly but friendliness means nothing without follow thru.

I have lived here for two years with my partner. We have had a neglected experience here to say the least. Fresh out of college we were looking for affordable housing and were tricked by the much nicer "showroom" apartment that they have for folks who come to tour the location. We were not shown our apartment until move in day; when we moved it, we found it had been painted just before our arrival and whoever painted left splatters on every surface paint was not supposed to touch. Caked dirt and rust were painted over, even the bathroom sink mirrors and all appliances. The apartment was not cleaned, my feet were black within a few minutes and it took me approx 10 passes with a carpet shampooer to clean the carpet in the bedroom. We were not allocated a new apartment or an opportunity to not go forward with the lease we signed. Since living here we have experienced the following problems on a cyclical basis: sink regurgitation, heat outage every dec 29-jan 2, sewer regurgitation in the drains in the unit basement, bug infestations, air conditioning, leaking appliances, neighbors who do not adhere to the community quiet rules, etc. All the while, no one on the emergency maintenance line and a staff who would rather ignore you then help with your issues. It is also important to note that the HVAC system in these building are so old, that the management company must turn on your ac or heat when they feel it is appropriate, so AC is not available for use until mid June. If you're a young couple or pair of roomates, like me and my partner, this is not the place for you. Spend the money for something else.

Nice Place and believe new staff can make a different for the best hopefully!
