My Apartment Review

I've lived here for about 7-8 months. I moved to this specific location because it was close to campus. I actually was recommended this place by a friend because the property manager at the time, Jane, also managed my friend's apartment. My first few months were pretty nice. It isn't a glamorous apartment; the stove is super old/small/gas, the space is very tight, parking is difficult at times and somethings are old and falling apart. But for what I was paying and the satisfaction I had with management, I was happy. Some months in the management was switched to a company. This led to a multitude of issues, including rent being sent and not received, upcharges in rent, and a lack of communication. At one point I contacted the company 8 times to extend my lease, and they never reached back to me till the last minute. It has recently switched to a new company. They have been slightly better, although very slow on maintenance requests and replies. My AC went out for 8 days during a heat wave and a work order wasn't placed until the following week of me reporting the issue. Aside from that, I like their staff better than the previous company and have had less issues so far. Overall, this is a apartment that has been good in some ways and bad in others. Management, parking, and the age of the apartment and its fixtures/appliances are drawbacks. However, the location, ambiance and the temporary solution it provides are nice.
