Issues with manager; wonderful doormen and maintenance

I love the location and the doormen/maintenance. Unfortunately, the building manager rarely responds to emails or follows-up with issues. It's frustrating given we don't have an alternative contact. I don't think expecting a short response to an email is unreasonable, given prior managers always responded. Also, the rooftop isn't accessible oftentimes with no explanation (email ignored). If amenities advertised are no longer available, I believe we should receive some kind of communication. It affects the value of living in the building.

Apartment is nice but...

Pros: + Nice big apartment with plenty of sunlight + nice location with great public transport options + 24x7 Doorman (all doorman are super helpful except Steve, he is super annoying) + Maintenace guy a call away (service request) (5 stars) Cons: - Building requires frequent maintenance and most of the time it is too loud. I noticed the maintenance work goes around the year so don't expect peaceful life here (not even in Winter). - (0.5/5 star) Less responsive building manager. It is a big achievement if you can manage to connect building manager. The earlier manager Kenia was nice and great at query resolution. I tried to reach the current manager several times and so far no callback or no email reply. - And of course 'Steve' the doorman, not sure why work here if he doesn't want to work. Tip: if you want to have a good ignore him and walk away.

Good place to live

I've lived here almost 4 years without many complaints. The maintenance team is excellent and responsive. Any issues with the building are general complaints-- the elevators break a lot (but the elevators have been far worse in every other building I've lived in), there aren't enough washers and dryers and they break a lot (again, the same situation or much worse in any other building I've lived in). For what it's worth, Horizon has been very good to me and they've always been easy to work with. I've not had any issues with their management, had unnecessary charges, etc.

Better communication. More solutions not quick fixes

From my experience at Sheridan Towers there has been countless issues and very few permanent fixes. From day one the communication has been weak. I would like to speak to speak to someone of high esteem at Horizon reality.
