Living in Cagan properties

I have been living here for 4 years they want come paint my kitchen or put updated light fixtures in my bathroom.

Was before a good place now to much noise to much peaple smok in Bilding And the back gate it's unbelievable peaple close the gate very hard 24/7 Even there no lock at the gate I call the manager asking to fix the gate or take it off anyway am going to hold it this year I renew the lease but for sure next never

These apartments are relatively affordable and have a good location, but that is about all they have going for them. The previous owners clearly "renovated" the property such that on the surface everything looked comfy and new, but left a number of underlying issues in this old building to rot. A few of these issues have been resolved by the new owners, but the fact remains that issues like wiring, plumbing, and rickety stairwells still exist. If you are okay with needing to submit maintenance requests when issues come up that may or may not end up being resolved, then this apartment will be a good value for your dollar. Otherwise, I would try your luck elsewhere.

Parking is abysmal. If you're not here by 7 finding a parking space within 2-3 blocks is actually impossible. Since I can't control the heat in the building even in 10 degree weather we have window open and it still doesn't help. The maintenance guy is great but it's one guy for multiple properties. Getting him here is a pain in the neck. Our downstairs neighbors are chronically screaming and playing music which echoes into the courtyard. Being near sheridan road is a plus. Also we have mice and we got notice that they were finally doing pest control in the building but it ended up being for roaches so thats cool.
